School Grounds

Our School Grounds

Penmaes has officially launched its “Grounds for Growth” Appeal. We would like your “HELP!” to raise £50,000 towards developing our outside learning environments. These developments will allow all pupils to have access a wider range of learning opportunities outdoors. This will support the whole school curriculum from the Foundation Phase for 3 -7 year olds through to providing work experience for pupils in the senior classes. With the development of the new school we have increased school grounds and want to make them more accessible through improved pathways that will link out existing play and music equipment. We currently have a swing and a roundabout that can be used by children in wheelchairs, but wish to provide more climbing equipment for other pupils to replace old equipment that had to be removed. We also want to develop a seated amphitheatre for storytelling and drama activities. Penmaes is a community focused school and the grounds are currently used by children in the respite and residential accommodation on site and the summer playscheme.

We would welcome your help in the form of donations of money, plants/shrubs or equipment. If you feel able to support us in any way, or you would like further information about our “Grounds for Growth” Appeal then please contact Penmaes School on 01874 623508.
