Ysgol Penmaes has recently earned Healthy School Status. We have all been working extremly hard in both eating healthier and participating in various sporting events and excercises. Well done everybody.
Well Done everybody, we have now been named as a Fairtrade School. With all your hard work and commitment we are now proud to call ourselves a Fairtrade School. Keep up the good work.
In February two assessors came to assess Ysgol Penmaes for the second Eco-Schools Green Flag. They met with members of the Eco-Council Committee and had a tour of the school. The assessors were very impressed by the schools continuing enthusiasm for the programme. In particular "The ownership of the programme by the pupils" and "Global citizenship is being addressed really well within the school". We were also very pleased that our site was found to be completely litter free. The pupils and staff at Penmaes were very pleased to recieve the second Green Flag.
We now need to get a flagpole to fly the Green Flag, if anybody would like to donate a flagpole please contact the school.
